Summer in the City 2013 – Shepherd Center

I had the honor of photographing Summer in the City 2013 for the Shepherd Center – it was a great night filled with so many friendly faces, such great food, and an auction full of goods!  It was my first time attending this event and I have to say I was pretty impressed.  The Shepherd Center is a rehabilitation hospital for those with injuries pertaining to the spinal cord or brain.  They do such great work there – I’ve asked several times if they have a need of an on-staff photographer, but they don’t – YET  😉

Summer in the City happens every year, it’s an auction event to raise funds for the Shepherd Center and the SHARE Military Initiative.  It’s a night of smiles, laughter, and one that brings together people from every direction in support of a program that helps soldiers who have sustained a traumatic brain injury while serving in Active Duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Michal Evans did the floral arrangements and I have to say I was stunned, somehow the coordination between the programs/tickets done by Brand Fever and Michal Evans turned out spot on –  it was just gorgeous.  The food was exceptional, all local restaurants give their time and energy (and TALENT) in creating special bite size dishes for the guests – these are just some of the vendors from the night:

Don & Sons

Aria

Rathbun’s

Bistro Niko

1 Kept

Nan

Petite Auberge

Seasons 52

The Shed at Glenwood

Coast Restaurant & Raw Bar

Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft

Davio’s

Troy & Sons Platinum

Thanks to all the sponsors that I’m not able to mention – the night was a huge success – and the funds raised go to support such a great cause.  Hope to see you there next year!
