I’m not big on Zoos in general – I always feel like their cages could be a little bigger, a little more this and that. But at the end of the day, I understand that there are a lot of endangered species represented at our zoos, and a lot of these animals have always been in captivity, so releasing them wouldn’t really be a viable option.
All this being said, I did enjoy the National Zoo immensely. I thought that it was well laid out, the enclosures were much bigger than the ones here in Atlanta, and the animals all seemed to be content. It’s was also a great way to educate ourselves on the animals and what the survival of their species has to have in order to keep going in our world.
Here are some of my photographs from that venture!
