Montréal – Part Two
My friend Trav really was the convincing factor in deciding to go to Montréal – in fact I had almost decided to can the whole operation just because I was flying to Vermont, renting a car, and then driving 2 hours to Montréal – which meant an extremely long day. When I told him this, he made me promise to get there one of these days when I come North, so I thought about it and said AH Screw it! Let’s just do it.
He arranged for a family friend to show me around Montréal – someone who knew the back streets, knew places that I wouldn’t go. This Montréal-ean was named Bob, and he truly was a god-send. He explained some history of the city, let me explore and take pictures, went to great lengths to show me city street views, the ports, and views from the sky. He also told me a personal story that I related to, took me to the Market (I’ll share those next) and treated me to some amazing Italian food…ahhhh yum. I wish I could have had more time with him – as a fellow photographer, it’s sometimes nice to shoot with other people…I don’t do it too much and miss it.
Enjoy these 🙂
