Boardwalk Art – Mexico
When we arrived at the Grand Velas hotel in Puerto Vallarta – there were these statues in the lobby – it’s kind of hard to explain, but they consisted of a mishmash of different parts. For example, a chair that had feet, but the feet were shoes or octopus legs, or a crocodile head, etc. It was really some of the neatest metal sculpture I have seen.
When we did a tour of Puerto Vallarta and stopped by the boardwalk, I began to notice the same sculpture work along the boardwalk – interesting in it’s own odd way. As we ventured further along, there were ships that had been worked, painted, re-crafted – these vessels were absolutely stunning. I decided to capture some pictures because, well, that’s what I do.
I hope you enjoy these snippets – in hindsight I wish I would have taken full shots, but my style tends to be closer shots, so I’m not terribly disappointed!
